There’s a new SoulCalibur 6 trailer, just uploaded on Bandai Namco’s Youtube page and is a quite revealing one. The trailer shows Groh, a new character coming to the franchise as well as gameplay footage of three returning characters: Nightmare, Xianghua, and Kilik.
The newcomer, Groh the Agent in black is a classic anime-styled character, rocking an eyepatch while yielding a double saber that can be turned into double blades. There’s a scheme to his playstyle, switching from having a blue aura to a red one where he loses his eyepatch so that we can see his red-glowing skin scarred underneath.
Along with Groh, Bandai Namco has also revealed three returning heroes in the new SoulCalibur 6 trailer. Nightmare, our favorite heavy weapon yielding menace will also be playable in SoulCalibur 6, looking cooler than ever. Xianghua and Kilik are also coming back and you can see some powerful gameplay footage involving them in the SoulCalibur 6 Trailer below:
Bandai Namco has confirmed all four characters will be playable for the game’s first playable demo at EVO Japan 2018 along with Mitsurugi, and Sophitia.
Soul Calibur VI is powered by Unreal Engine 4, offering completely new graphics to the game. We expect it to be visually stunning, considering the detail in the stage backgrounds. As it was announced by Bandai Namco “Classic characters like Mitsurugi and Sophitia are rendered at a level never before seen in the series”.
Don’t forget that Bandai Namco has also a few more titles up for release. Dragon Ball FighterZ will be released tomorrow for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, which showcases the iconic characters from Dragonball Anime and will feature 3 vs 3 clashes.
Soul Calibur is a weapons-based fighter series with an array of great characters plus some of the famous gaming icons making guest appearances like Ezio from Assasins Creed, Kratos from God of War, Darth Vader from Star Wars franchise, and Yoshimitsu from the all famous Tekken, etc.
SoulCalibur 6 will be released sometime in 2018 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, though no specific window has been given at this time.
