There’s A Free Ghost Recon: Wildlands DLC Coming, Includes New Mode
Ghost Recon: Wildlands is about to get its third piece of expansion. There’s a new Ghost Recon: Wildlands DLC coming tomorrow, January 25, on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, called Extended Ops. This new piece of DLC, which is a part of the Ghost War, will bring a new PvP mode to the game, 2 new maps as well as new gear and weapons.
As Ubisoft announced, Extended Ops will be a free update as were the previous two Ghost Recon: Wildlands DLC. The biggest feature of it is clearly the new Extraction mode, which is an Escort Target mode. As the trailer indicates, in Extraction mode one team will have to escort two “High-Value Targets” out of a conflict zone while the other has to stop them and restrain the hostages.
Ubisoft has included some useful tips for playing on this map as both teams, so seeing it may seem of use to you. Take a look:
As the trailer indicates, there will also be two new maps included in Extended Ops, one being the Institute and the other the Garage. Both of them will be available for Quickplay and Ranked modes. Last but not least, the Extended Ops DLC will feature new icon costumes which will give you the opportunity to show off your characters like one of the main game (Cartel and Unidad) and Rainbow Six Siege.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands previous DLC, Jungle Storm, was released on December 14 and featured two new classes: the Predator, a frontline versatile fighter with the ability to increase his health and regeneration for a limited amount of time and the Pathfinder, equipped with a crossbow, who cannot be detected by Scout’s Drone motion sensor, marked by drones or the Sentinel’s Satcom Tracker. The Jungle Storm Update also brought he Ranked mode for Ghost War as well as 4 new maps: Ruins, Jungle Base, Scrapyard and Urban Incursion.
