Brie Larson “Learning How to Fly” for Captain Marvel Movie

The United States Air Force has been spending time with Brie Larson to get the Academy Award winning actress ready for her titular role as Carol Danvers in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie.

The superhero character actually rose from the ranks of the military in the comic books at a very young age before being appointed as head of security. Hence, it is only natural for the actress to undergo training and familiarize herself with the inner workings on an actual serving armed base of operations.

Taking to Twitter this week, Larson shared a few images of herself all geared up in an authentic United States Air Force uniform and getting into a fighter aircraft. There is no indication of whether she flew the jet herself, but her caption does imply that she is at least “learning to fly” for the upcoming Captain Marvel movie.

In her storyline, Carol Danvers served the armed forces with full honors before a near-fatal accident caused her DNA (DeoxyriboNucleic Acid) to fuse with that of an alien being. The event bestowed her with powers such as super strength, energy projection, and flight. It was all that she needed to don on the cape of a superhero and serve for the greater good.

The upcoming Captain Marvel movie will be the first to break away from the main events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and with seemingly no relations to the Infinity War. The setting will be the 1990s and feature the return of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. The movie will also introduce the extraterrestrial shapeshifters known as Skrulls when it hits theaters on March 8, 2019.
