Today is a bittersweet day for Metal Gear fans. The Metal Gear Survive Beta is starting tomorrow and even though it’s not the addition to the franchise we might have hoped, its gameplay seems promising.
Just one day before the start of the Metal Gear Survive Beta on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, sites all over the world are posting videos and screenshots with gameplay. Take a look at a collection of such videos below:
What you can see from the Metal Gear Survive Beta footage above is that the game indeed has a misty, eerie atmosphere that reminds us of Resident Evil. Despite the hate the title was constantly getting for more than a year now, that fact that footage videos started spreading is helping the title get new fans.
Metal Gear Solid Survive is actually well received by hardcore MGS fans, according to a claim by Yuji Korekado, the game producer. The game has been criticised by the community for not being in the same league as Metal Gear Solid and being a rip off of the franchise but, as it seems, this is not a setback for the franchise fans.
According to the producer, the game retains the stealth-action genre which is a staple of the franchise and combines them with new elements that make Metal Gear Survive a unique entry in the franchise.
The Metal Gear Survive Beta starts tomorrow January 18 to January 21 on the PS4 and Xbox One, so make sure to try it out and find out for your self if the aforementioned claims are true.
Metal Gear Survive is set for release for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on February 20th in America and February 22nd in Europe.
Will you be taking part in the Metal Gear Survive Beta tomorrow? Do you think the title will be able to make it worthy of its name?
