Pokemon GO Updated to Version 0.89.1 for Android and 1.59.1 for iOS

Niantic in the past made a promise to it players and recently it has delivered it in the form of an update. An update came out for its most popular AR game, Pokemon GO. Niantic made it official by posting that there will be an update on Android Version 0.89.1 and for iOS 1.59.1. Update has brought many changes for its players.

In 2017 Moblie gaming has exploded capturing almost 40% of the sales in the market. so, it is safe to say that 2018 will also treat mobile gaming pretty good. Unlike other companies, Niantic managed to hold with there unique gameplay style. The company also launches updates for it players to keep them active. The usual update is also one of the reasons that the players seem to like it a lot.

Niantic announced they have fixed many problems that players were facing before. Must renowned bug was that caused the Pokemon collection screen to scroll to the top after evolving, transferring, or renaming a Pokemon. New ability to sort the Pokedex by region added by Niantic. Improved incubator sorting order when selecting an incubator and improved the way Pokemon scale throughout the app was much awaited for. Bug fixes, the visual update like new loading screen has seen major changes.


Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.89.1 for Android and 1.59.1 for iOS devices. Details from our development team:

  • Added the ability to sort the Pokédex by region.

Niantic has made an announcement that players all around the world will have first Community Day event. The event will take place in the local parks to make new friends. Trainers will be able to capture special Pokemon with pocket monsters boasting move. Furthermore, bonus contains increased XP, extra Stardust, and Lure Modules that will be on the Community Day exclusive. Special Pikachu is also up for grab if you are participating in the Community Day.

These special Pokemon will be up for grab for only three hours, so, make sure that you’re on time for this event. Following are the times for the event.

  • Asia-Pacific –  Noon to 3:00 PM JST
  • Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India –  10:00 AM to 1:00 PM UTC
  • The Americas and Greenland –  11:00 AM to 2:00 PM PST

Niantic has made Kyogre a legendary Pokemon. Pokemon Go was released on July 6, 2016.
