Marvel’s upcoming Avengers Infinity Wars movie is being touted by Marvel Studio as the “deadliest showdown ever” within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Avenger Infinity Wars trailer synopsis is hinting at deaths of key characters of the MCU.
The official synopsis reads,” An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time.”.
It goes on to say, “The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must willing to sacrifice it all in an attempt to defeat the power of Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.” Sounds grim, I know.
Though, we shouldn’t be too worried considering Marvel has many movies planned after Avengers Infinity Wars all the way to 2020.
So which characters are expected to die in Infinity Wars? Well, Iron Man and Captain American could see their demise. Both Chris Evans and Robert Dowrey Jr. could leave the MCU soon, their contracts are ending. But since they still have two more films to go, who knows they may actualy come out alive.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the sequel to 2015’s Avengers Age of Ultron will be the 19th movie within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is expected to release in most major regions in early May this year in IMAX and 3D.
Taking place four years after the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the disarray following Captain America Civil War, the titular Avengers must join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy gang to stop the main antagonist Thanos from using infinity stones to destroy the very fabric of the universe.
The other upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies include the much awaited Black Panther (February 16, 2018), Ant-Man and The Wasp (July 6, 2018), Captain Marvel (March 8, 2019) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which is expected release sometime in 2020.
An untitled Avengers 4 movie will conclude Marvel’s phase-3 of the MCU and when asked whether they’ll be a phase-4 or a franchise reboot, Marvel Studio’s president Kevin Feig has this to say, “What happens after that will be very different. I don’t know if it’s phase four, it might be a new thing”.
