The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2018) this year will be where we finally get treated to a new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer as well as a playable demo, or at least that is what has been heard through the grapevine.
Earlier today, Polish gaming publication GRYOnline claimed that reliable sources close to the matter have confirmed CD Projekt RED to be preparing the game for a massive reveal at the annual convention.
The promotional campaign may possibly begin sooner but it will be during one of the press conferences where the developer releases the new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer, offering the first solid bits on gameplay and the storyline. Back then, CD Projekt RED revealed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from the side of Microsoft. Perhaps it will be Sony this year that gets to enjoy the deafening applause.
In addition, there will be a playable demo that will be showcased to members of the press behind closed doors. This means that other attendees will not get the opportunity to try out Cyberpunk on the show-floor for themselves. However, as we have seen in the past, gameplay footage of such behind-closed-doors exhibitions always get leaked on the internet shortly after.
How much salt do I need for this rumor?
It cannot be denied that without any official acknowledgement, there is no reason to get your hopes up. However, Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for more than three years now. After such a long period of silence, the game is finally breaking into the main newsfeed.
It was only last week when a report claimed that Cyberpunk 2077 is now in a playable state. In addition, a recent tour of the studios of the company also gave fans a few glimpses on potential artwork for the upcoming science-fiction role-playing game.
You better cross your fingers because we might finally see Cyberpunk 2077 see the light of day at E3 2018, with possibly a release date for fall 2019.
