Halo 6 Release Date May Have Been Pushed, 343i Working on a New IP?

Fans are waiting for Halo 6 but it seems 343i has other plans. The developer may pushed Halo 6 release date further into the future but the good news is it may have something new in stored for us. 343i could announce a new project this year and it seems to be a new IP.

In a post on its official website, 343i wrote they are excited to share new adventures this year. However, they will not be what you expect.

Welcome back! To be frank (or Grim, really), I’m not sure if that’s a welcome back to us, or you guys, but let’s go with it either way. 2018 has arrived and with it, the promise of new fun times to be had and adventures to be embarked upon. No, not those adventures, but plenty of exciting ones regardless – some which might surprise you more than others.

Noticing their statement we can figure out that Halo 6 is probably not going to be released anytime this year, an announcement is also likely to happen. However, they gave another hint about something new which might surprise us.

Whatever there are working on, there is a good chance that a trailer might be unveiled at E3 this summer with a release date set for 2019.

Halo 6 release date being pushed will come as a disappointment to PC and Xbox One players. But it is the price we will have to pay in order to get new IPs from Microsoft.
