Final Fantasy XV launched for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 back in 2016 with critical acclaim and since then Square Enix has supported the game with new DLCs and now it seems that Square Enix is looking to launch the Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition which has been rated by the ESRB.
Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition has been rated for PS4 and Xbox One by ESRB and the Royal Edition might also feature a second season pass for Final Fantasy XV as Square Enix has already noted that they want to support the game with more expansions.
Speaking of Final Fantasy XV DLCs, game director Hajime Tabata has expressed that he would like to develop a Final Fantasy XV expansion focusing on Lunafreya.
He added that he has a desire to showcase Lunafreya as a strong character. He noted that currently, the focus is to get ‘Episode Ignis’ out.
I really do have that desire to depict Luna as an even stronger female personality. Obviously the first mission is to get ‘Episode Ignis’ out. Then when we decided what we do with 15 after, is to decide that together with the fans and community and opinions, just like you gave.
The game is also coming to PC and Square Enix will be bringing features to the PC version for which the PC community is known for like mods. Game director has confirmed that Final Fantasy XV’s PC version will get mod support.
Furthermore, the game director has confirmed that a Final Fantasy XV sequel is unlikely. Instead, the studio will be focusing on the expansions for the game. He added that a sequel for the game doesn’t make any sense.
Final Fantasy XV is a third-person action adventure game developed by Square Enix for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and is scheduled to launch for PC in Spring 2018.
