You Can Get Three Free Hearthstone Card Packs by Logging On to Battle.net
If you’re an avid Hearthstone player who’s looking for more cards for Kobolds and Catacombs, all you have to do is log into your Battle.net account to get more. Blizzard is handing out a three-pack of free Hearthstone card packs for players to add to their collections on Battle.net.
The three card packs are all from Kobolds and Catacombs, meaning that whatever cards you get out of them will be from the most recent expansion. Kobolds and Catacombs focuses on things like the new Recruit mechanic, which can pull a minion from your deck, and various kobold and dragon-focused cards. Dungeon exploration for loot is also a focus.
The reason for the free Hearthstone card packs that Blizzard handed out was in apology for a bug that hit the game back in December. The bug caused daily quests to not appear when players logged into the game, meaning that one of the game’s primary ways for earning gold wasn’t working. Blizzard has since fixed the bug, and in apology for how long it took, distributed the card packs.
In order to receive your own card packs, you can get them from the desktop Battle.net app, or from the mobile app, in the gifts section. Once you’re in there, all you have to do is claim your rewards, and the packs should show up the next time you’re in Hearthstone.
If you’ve been saving up gold from the few daily quests that you might have been able to grab over the course of the bug being in effect, you’ll likely have some more gold to use to buy even more card packs, along with being able to complete the various quests that have likely popped up since the bug was fixed.
So, if you play Hearthstone and have stopped playing for a while because of the bug, this is a good time to get back into the game.
