Fans of the Burnout franchise has been asking for another entry in the franchise and while we are not getting a new Burnout title but, EA is rolling out Burnout Paradise HD remaster and its coming in March.
Burnout Paradise HD remaster will be rolling out in March, however, it is a PlayStation 4 exclusive and currently is only slated to roll out in Japan but we are hopeful that EA will eventually bring it out on other platforms and regions.
Burnout Paradise originally launched for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 in 2008 with critical acclaim and quickly became a classic among fans. Since then no Burnout title has been developed and its original developer, Criterion Games, has also noted that they have no plans for Burnout paradise remaster.
With this remaster coming out for PS4, there might be a possibility that EA is planning to develop another entry in the franchise and is checking the demand with this HD remaster. We are hopeful that the game is a success so that we can have another game developed for current-gen consoles with upgraded mechanics and visuals.
Also, the next Burnout title might not come from Criterion as the majority of the studio members have been shifted to Ghost Games, the studio behind recent Need for Speed titles.
Also, the latest Need for Speed title, Need For Speed Payback, has not been well received partly due to the speed cards.
However, Ghost Games is making efforts to make the game much more enjoyable and recently revealed an online free-roam mode for the game. According to the devs, this free-roam mode will be available free for all who own the game and will roll out sometime in 2018.
