Fans are actually demanding that a “Battle Royale Mode” would be a great way to start this game. As the graphics and features are totally unique and a new variety of gaming experience is being delivered by Microsoft Studios. The Arena for the mode would probably be the Metropolis City where the gamers would dismantle each other.
The demand stems from the overwhelming popularity of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The game sold 30 million copies and recently crossed 3 million players on Steam.
However, even if developers decide to add Battle Royale mode to Crackdown 3, they would require even more development time. The title has already been delayed but thankfully, the delay will ensure a polished experience, which is exactly why they decided to take extra development time.
We want to make sure that we deliver the right experiences all the way through every part of the game, whether that’s campaign, co-op multiplayer or our competitive multiplayer mode, Wrecking Zone. Getting the balance right between the three modes is important, and we are going to take the extra development time to ensure that.
Crackdown 3 is Xbox One’s crown jewel and should have been released on time but due to the hype that was given in the recent four years by Microsoft, it placed extra pressure on developers to deliver which played a role in the game’s delay. As of now, the game is postponed to the late spring of 2018.
We can see that now most of the gaming community is moving toward multiplayer-centric experience – The Division, Fortnite, PUBG, Destiny 2 etc. And while Battle Royale is not something new, PUBG gave it the recognition it needed. Using Crackdown 3’s impressive technology we developers can further innovate this genre.
Crackdown 3 is an upcoming open world action game for Microsoft and Xbox One, continuing the seven-year after the release of Crackdown 2. The third chronicle of this game focuses on Microsoft Azure powered mass scale destruction that enables everything in the game to be destroyed.
