Crackdown 3 release date

Crackdown 3 has been in development for a long time and delays have angered the community multiple times. Frustrations and lack of trust between Microsoft, Sumo Digital, and fans is at an all-time low as far as Crackdown 3 release date announcements are concerned.

The title was delayed from last year into Spring 2018 and so far a new release date has not been announced. However, Crackdown 3 release date may finally be set in stone this time around, when they announce it, of course. Developer Sumo Digital has acquired Eve Valkyrie studio CCP Games.

Both studio heads and their teams are joining forces to work on mutual projects. This means that the staff can and possibly will be shuffled around to complete their games. The move is a positive sign for those waiting for Crackdown 3 release date news. The next time we hear about Crackdown 3 releasing, developers may actually be able to deliver on their promise thanks to extra man power.

The game’s development has been hell for the team at Sumo, Cloudgine, and Reagent Games. However, putting more hands on deck will ensure a quality experience and is going ease the development burden off of Reagent, Cloudgine, and Sumo.

Crackdown 3 is an overwhelmingly ambitious project, one can say that it proved to be a little too ambitious for the development teams. Moreover, the title was announced too early, as admitted by Microsoft. According to Shannon Loftis:

We definitely underestimated the challenge of making sure the quality bar of all three of those modes was high and it delivers on what we need to deliver on,” she said. “So we had to take the extra time, [and] make sure that we’re delivering the game the Crackdown fans want. It was a super hard decision to do that, and it was made harder because we announced the game.

Crackdown 3 release date will be announced in the coming months. The game will release on Xbox One and PC.
