Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and its sequel are both now available on the Good Old Games website, just in time for Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘s release in theaters around the world. Both games took you into the period between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
The games follow the story of Galen marek, a boy strong in the Force who is taken by Vader at a young age to be his own apprentice, secret from the eyes of the Emperor with the hope of eventually overthrowing him. However, Marek’s loyalties come into question as he serves as Vader’s hitman, hunting down the last survivors of the Jedi Order.
The two games allowed you to do things with the Force that you wouldn’t otherwise imagine, such as turning people into bombs with Force lightning, lifting up huge hunks of wreckage with the Force alone, and in the game’s most-advertised scene, bringing down a Star Destroyer.
While the games didn’t really live up to all of the hype (the aforementioned Star Destroyer section was a frustrating quick-time event and the story and characters left a lot to be desired), their spectacle still has earned them a place in the heart of many Star Wars fans.
You’ll be able to get both Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games on GOG now for 66% off of their original price for as long as the website’s Winter Sale runs. You’ll also be getting the first game’s Ultimate Sith Edition, meaning that you don’t have to pay for any of the DLC that came with it originally; it’s all included.
So, if you still want some more Star Wars after Battlefront 2’s new burst of DLC and The Last Jedi being released in theaters, you can buy both Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games off of Good Old Games just in time for Christmas.
