EA and DICE have released the new Battlefront 2 The Last Jedi DLC for all of Battlefront 2’s platforms, giving out a good bit of new content including new maps, new heroes, and new vehicles to try out before Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out on Friday in most countries.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the second entry in the sequel trilogy of Star Wars movies, and will continue telling the story of the conflict between the Resistance and the First Order, along with following Rey’s journey to become a Jedi.
The Battlefront 2 The Last Jedi DLC will feature Finn and Captain Phasma as heroes for the Resistance and First Order, respectively, who will be playable starting today. Also included are two new battle maps: A space battle over the Resistance’s base planet of D’Qar, and a ground battle on the planet of Crait.
The other two heroes that will be entering the fray are an upgraded version of Poe Dameron’s X-wing, and a new A-wing, piloted by the new hero Tallie Lintra, who will feature in The Last Jedi. Both of these vehicles will be available exclusively in space battles.
Finally, in addition to all of the content featured above, the new Battlefront 2 The Last Jedi DLC will also include three new chapters of Battlefront 2 single-player missions to show what happens with Iden Versio and the former Inferno Squad as they’re called back into action thirty years after the fall of the Empire.
Along with the new content, the update that has given us all of this free DLC includes a number of patches and adjustments to the various heroes and other mechanics in the game. The patch has even opened up the second and third card slots for all four classes, and players will be getting new Star Cards to fill out their hands.
