It has been a while since we got a new Apple iMac Pro but you will not have to wait much longer as the new Apple iMac Pro is coming out on the 14th of this month and it is powered by the AMD Vega 64. The upcoming systems come with up to 18 cores and should pack a lot of power under the hood. Vega supply has been short on the market but has since got back to normal and the Apple iMac Pro could be the reason behind it.
This partnership between AMD and Apple should be great for both companies and we will see how well the upcoming AMD Vega 64 powered Apple iMac Pro performs as compared to the previous models that we have seen. There are different configurations to choose from the there is a 10-core Intel Xeon W processor version that comes with 128 GB DDR4 ECC memory, 2 TB flash memory and Radeon Pro Vega 64 graphics.
This should be plenty of power for your content creations need but if you require more then there are more powerful CPUs with more cores and threads. Speaking of content creation, you can watch and edit videos in 8K with little to no frame loss issues which is a great deal. Seeing how 8K is not something that people are working on right now, 4K editing should be no problem for the new Apple iMac Pro.
The system comes with Thunderbolt 3 that can drive a pair of 5K displays and four 4K displays. Other than that you also have 10 Gb, 4 USB 3.0 slots an SD card slot and 3.5 mm headphone jack. Stay tuned to SegmentNext for more information regarding the upcoming AMD Vega 64 powered Apple iMac Pro
