YouTube Xbox One X Update Introduces 4K 60 FPS Support

The Xbox One X is a great solution if you are looking to play games and stream content in 4K 60 FPS in your lounge without having to plug-in a PC. The most powerful console from Microsoft has powerful hardware that can handle a lot as compared to previous generation consoles that we have seen. here we are going to talk about the YouTube Xbox One X update.

While the PS4 Pro also offers 4K gaming the Xbox One X is more powerful. There are plenty of games that you can play at 4K and there other games that allow you to play at 1080p but at 60 FPS instead. The new YouTube Xbox One X update allows users to stream content at 4K 60 FPS on their console which is an improvement as compared to the previous standard.

If you have a 4K TV then this is something that you can take advantage of. Even if you do not have a 4K TV then it is ok as the Xbox One X can downscale the image to 1080p and even at that resolution the image is going to look better. Be sure to download the YouTube Xbox One X update from the Microsoft store in order to take full advantage of that 4K TV.

It is important to note that the update does not support HDR at this point, it has been confirmed that the feature will be introduced later on in another update. According to Microsoft:

“We know how much you love having millions of videos available to watch instantly from your Xbox 360, PC or mobile device, so we’ve been hard at work ensuring you’ll be able to view the same great content from the comfort of your living room thanks to the YouTube app on Xbox One”
