PUBG Female Character Models Will Have Their Camel Toes Removed

It was discovered over the weekend that the PUBG female character models had been updated on the test servers to show camel toes in their underwears. The decision from the developer to bring attention to the shape of the female genitalia–in tight clothing–naturally led to a lot of criticism. Many demanded an explanation for the sudden change and now we have it.

Responding to the concerned parties earlier today, creator Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Green explained that the PUBG female character models were received from an outsourced artist a while back. The camel toes were overlooked by the development team. In fact, the file itself has not been changed for at least two years.

Since the changes were brought to attention on the test servers, the PUBG female character models will return to their original look shortly. This also means that the camel toes will not be heading over to the live servers.

It seems like balance has finally been restored to the universe and we can move past the problematic human anatomy.

Elsewhere, the much-hyped Xbox One version of the game is scheduled to arrive tomorrow through the Game Preview program. It is available for pre-order right now for the same price of $30. The PC version, on the other hand, is gearing towards leaving early access and releasing in full on Steam later this month.
