Intel Gemini Lake Pentium Silver and Intel Celeron processors have been unveiled and this is something that we have been waiting for a long time now. These chips have been designed to bring a balance of performance and connectivity. Intel Gemini Lake Pentium Silver chips will be able to deliver 58% better performance as compared to similar older chips.
The Intel Gemini Lake chips feature faster internet than 2×2 802.11AC with 160MHz channels that is much faster than what we previously had in the older generations. Intel Pentium Silver processors N5000 will be coming out for mobile and J5005 for desktop. Intel Celeron processors N4100 and N4000 will be coming out for mobile and J4105 and J4005 for desktop.

Intel Gemini Lake Pentium Silver and Intel Celeron processors will be coming out in Q1 2018. The mainstream Coffee Lake motherboards will also be coming out during this time so you will have plenty of options to choose from. If you have bought a locked Coffee Lake CPU then you will not have to wait much longer.
We have also heard about upcoming Intel 9th generation CPUs coming out with 8 cores and 16 threads in order to keep up with AMD Ryzen. It will be interesting to see what kind of gains upcoming Intel chips will have to offer as compared to AMD Ryzen.
