Playstation players who are interested in getting a hold of Monster Hunter World can now download the Monster Hunter World Beta, if they’re a Playstation Plus member. The beta goes live tomorrow, but you can preload the beta in time for it. The beta will run from Saturday to Tuesday.
While in the beta, players will be able to experience hunting monsters in the game’s world either alone or with friends, giving a good indication of what to expect when the game actually fully releases in January of next year. The Monster Hunter World beta will run from 9 AM Pacific Time (5 PM Greenwich Mean Time), to Tuesday at the same time.
The beta will feature 14 different types of weapons to use, and there will be three different quests across two different environments. If you’re able to complete all three of these quests before the beta ends, you’ll apparently earn some special items when the full game comes out. You can also undertake the three quests with up to three other players.
Your targets during the beta will be the Great Jagras, the Anjanath, and the Barroth, which can all be found in either the Ancient Forest or the Wildspire Waste, the two areas that will be available in the beta.
While there will be a Monster Hunter Beta available on the Playstation 4, there’s no telling if Capcom will do something similar for the Xbox One and the PC, the two other platforms that the game will be coming out on.
Monster Hunter World will be coming out on January 26 of next year for the Xbox One, the Playstation 4, and the PC. Playstation owners will be getting a bonus weapon that’s apparently based on Horizon: Zero Dawn, likely referring to Aloy’s chief weapon, the bow.
So, if you own a Playstation Plus subscription or have gotten one to play the game, hurry and download the beta so you can start immediately!
