The global registered player-base of Rainbow Six Siege has now passed the 25 million mark, Ubisoft revealed in a press release this week.

According to brand director Alexandre Remy, longevity has always been a core focus of the development team when supporting the game all these years. The outstanding response from the community has also been a major part of the great success earned by the tactical first-person shooter.

“We’re thrilled to see that the community has embraced the game, brought along their friends, and really pushed our understanding of what’s possible with what we’ve created.”

It was back in July when Rainbow Six Siege passed the 20 million marker. That makes it an increment of 5 million in about four months. It might seem minor in comparison to other popular multiplayer games but is still healthy growth nonetheless. In addition, June proved to be the second-best month in history of the game in terms of active users.

Rainbow Six Siege has always witnessed a surge in activity around the time it receives a new expansion pack. Operation White Noise arrived earlier today and probably contributed to those global numbers.

Ubisoft is now looking at the next year of content, with Operation Chimera being the first in the recently revealed roadmap. There is also a new three-player cooperative mode called Mission Outbreak that should surprise the community early next year.
