The Call of Duty WW2 Winter Siege festivities promise to keep you busy for the entire month with a ton of surprises when it arrives later this week.

Posting on the official website earlier today, Sledgehammer Games announced that the first seasonal event of the new installment is all about celebrating with the passionate community.

“There’s a ton of content for everyone to play during this time,” senior product developer Aaron Haalon stated.

This includes the new “Winter Carentan” multiplayer map with a festive theme that will be released for free to all players. “Headquarters” is also being covered with snow and colorful lighting for the holidays. In addition, the fan-favorite “Gun Game” mode is making its debut that will see players cycling through random weapons after every successful kill.

Sledgehammer Games will be activating a double XP boost between different playlists for the duration of the event. Five new weapons are being added to the game as well, including the Gewehr 43 semi-automatic assault rifle and GPMG light machine gun. The winter-themed Supply Drops will further allow players to access various cosmetic upgrades, emblems, and more.

The Call of Duty WW2 Winter Siege seasonal event is scheduled to begin from Friday, December 8 and will run until Tuesday, January 2. Some of the content, such as the reimagined multiplayer maps, will be removed from the playlists at the end. However, they will possibly return next year.
