Riot Games has released a new desktop application for League of Legends that allows players to choose from a wide array of wallpapers and screensavers.

The collection of assets is available in high-definition quality (HD) and neatly divided into multiple categories for the ease of searching. There are splash arts for different champions and skins, illustrations for landscapes from the lore, and even event coverage for the esports crowd. In addition, the much-loved animated login screens from the game can be set as screensavers.

The application further supports various display options. Whether you are using ultra-wide, vertical, or multiple monitors, the application fits the desired selection accordingly.

“League Displays” can be downloaded from the official website for both Windows and Mac. The minimum requirements confirm either Windows 7 or OS X 10.9, 1 GB RAM, and 1 GB of hard disk space.

Take note that the application is only for desktop systems and does not require to be running in the background for the wallpapers and screensavers. Simply launch the application, select, finalize, and close.

For those unaware, League of Legends already had a similar application several years back. This new one from Riot Games is actually an updated version of that. While the developer has dropped support for the older iteration, it has committed to keep updating League Displays as new content arrives in the future.

There are already a ton of third-party sources to download League of Legends wallpapers and screensavers from. Nonetheless, the effort from Riot Games is appreciated.

League of Legends will soon be hosting Snowdown for the holiday season. Three of the new skins heading our way this year are Ambitious Elf Jinx, Snow Fawn Poppy, and Santa Draven. All three would make fine backgrounds to any desktop system.
