PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Paying The Price For Not Optimizing The Game And Not Listeing To Feedback

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been out for 9 months and there is still a lot of things that are to be fixed. Fortnite is going strong.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has had a lot of success since it was first launched as an early access title and even though the game has been improved over these months it is safe to say that keeping in mind the time and money that the developers have at their hand, the game is not where players want it to be. There are still plenty of things wrong with the game and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is starting to play the price.

While bringing new weapons maps to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is great what the developers really need to look into is the dynamics of the game, the gameplay and basic elements. Unless these things are sorted out I am not sure if the game is going to continue to do too well keeping in mind the competitors that are quickly jumping on the hype train.

Fortnite is trying to compete with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and it is interesting to see that Fortnite had more monthly active users in October as compared to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The top ten games of October are as follows:

Here are the top ten games on PC:

  • League of Legends
  • PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
  • Fantasy Westward Journey Online II
  • Destiny 2
  • Dungeon Fighter Online
  • Crossfire
  • World of Warcraft
  • World of Tanks
  • Middle-earth: Shadow of War
  • ROBLOX

It is interesting to note that Destiny 2 has made it to number 4 keeping in mind that other 2 games above it are free-to-play. This might be because the game is so well optimized and if that is indeed the case the PUBG developers need to get their heads out of their asses and think about what they really want to do with the game.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds came out as an early access title on Steam in March, its December now and there are still things that will make you rage quit. Tencent is also introducing a battle royale game that will be coming out in 2018 and looking at the trailer it is everything that we want PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to be.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds clones are also coming to the mobile platform. Wonder what the team is doing right now in order to counter all this and what they thought would happen if they took so long.

Let us know what you think about the state in which Battlegrounds is in right now.
