A new announcement via the most recent issue of the manga magazine Weekly Jump has unveiled that a new anime fighting game called My Hero Academia: One’s Justice will be coming to the Playstation 4 and Switch, hopefully some time in 2018. A trailer will be coming out at Jump Festa 2018 mid-December.
My Hero Academia is a manga and anime series that tells the story of an Earth where everyone is born with some form of superpower called a Quirk, and so one of a person’s greatest dreams is to become a great superhero. However, Izuku Midoriya, known derisively by his classmates as Deku, was born without a Quirk even though he really wants to be a hero.
However, all of that changes when he meets All Might, the world’s greatest superhero, and is chosen by him to inherit his Quirk One For All, which gives him the combined superhuman strength of One For All’s previous owners.
My Hero Academia: One’s Justice is apparently going to be a Battle Action game, and will include destructive environments, allowing you to blast your opponents through bits of the arena using your powers. The game will likely have a large number of characters from the series in it, ranging from Deku himself, and probably a large number of his classmates like Bakugo, who can create explosions, Todoroki, who can control both fire and ice, or Tokoyami, who can control a powerful shadow creature.
And that’s not even getting into all of the full-fledged heroes like All Might, Endeavor, and more that also might show up in the game, plus all of the villains that would naturally exist in a world of superheros.
There’s no idea of a release date yet for the game, but hopefully My Hero Academia: One’s Justice is going to be releasing on Playstation 4 and the Nintendo Switch soon
