Loot Crate, the fan-powered subscription platform for everything geek, has partnered with Bungie to release a limited edition crate for Destiny 2 that comes with an “exclusive figure, apparel and other collectibles” inspired from the in-game science-fiction world.
The actual contents of the crate are being kept hidden, as is the case with all such crates from the company. What is known is that the crate will feature items from the two expansion packs, which is considerate because the crate will ship in spring after both the expansion packs have released.
“The Destiny 2 Limited Edition Crate is a huge win for the fans of the Destiny franchise as it gives the developers even more opportunities to share the rich lore that anchors the universe behind one of 2017’s biggest game launches,” Loot Crate CEO Chris Davis said. “We’ve worked with our friends at Bungie to put Destiny collectibles in Loot Crates and Loot Gaming crates and every time we do, fans ask for more – finally we can deliver this one-of-a-kind fan experience.”
The crate is currently available for pre-order from the official website. The total value of items will be $90 or above. Those in North America will have to dish out $50, while the international fans must part with $75. This includes both shipping and handling.
Elsewhere, Destiny 2 is currently up for a massive discount for all platforms. The standard edition can be snatched from Amazon for an all-time low price of $26, allowing potential Guardians to save $34 while supplies last.
Destiny 2 is scheduled to receive Curse of Osiris, the first expansion pack, on December 5. It will accompany a massive update, followed by another a week later and more to come in January. This series of updates will include a long list of changes to address criticism for the in-game systems from the community.
