We have been waiting for the custom AMD Vega GPUs for a long long time now but now the custom XFX Radeon RX Vega 64 and 56 have been launched. The dual versions feature dual 8 pin power connectors, unlike previous images that we got of the custom XFX Radeon RX Vega GPUs with 8+6 power connectors.
If you were excited about the custom XFX Radeon RX Vega GPUs then it is unfortunate that I have to tell you the GPUs are not factory overclocked just like the Asus version. We have 4 pictures of the graphics card and none of them show off the PCB so we will have to see whether or not the PCBs on the graphics cards are custom.
The graphics cards come with three DisplayPorts and one HDMI 2.0. No second HDMI for VR support. There is no news regarding the pricing of these GPUs right now. The XFX Vega 56 features a base clock of 1156 MHz and can boost to 1471 MHz. The XFX Vega 64, on the other hand, has a base clock of 1247 MHz and can boost to 1546 MHz.
While the GPUs look flamboyant, I have to say that I am not a fan of the looks and that might be the opinion of other people as well. On the other hand, there aren’t many custom Vega graphics cards right now so consumers are not left with much of a choice.
Asus has already released the custom Vega 64 and is working on the Vega 56. It was disappointing that the Asus version was also not factory overclocked and the only reason for better performance was better cooling. You can click here to find out more information.
