The AMD Ryzen 3 1200 is supposed to feature 4 cores and 4 threads but there have been reports of AMD Ryzen 3 1200 CPUs that come with 8 cores and 8 threads instead. At this point in time, we do not how that is the case. It could be fake but it might as well be a PR stunt of some sort. It is also possible that there was some kind of mistake and the CPU was labeled and packaged wrong.
I can only imagine what it would be like to pay around $100 for an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 and getting 4 cores and 4 threads more than what you actually paid for. If this is some kind of hint regarding what we can expect in the future from AMD then this is very interesting indeed but it is more than likely that there was some kind of mistake when labeling and packaging.
You can check out the video of the 8 core, 8 thread AMD Ryzen 3 1200 below:
Keeping in mind all the issues that are going on with EA, concerning loot boxes in Battlefront 2, these are loot boxes that I can get behind. Even without the extra cores, the AMD Ryzen 3 1200 is a great CPU for entry level, especially if you want to make a gaming build on a budget. The CPU has 4 cores and that is pretty much all that you need for gaming.
Let us know what you think about these AMD Ryzen 3 1200 CPUs that are coming out with 8 cores and 8 threads instead of 4 of each.
