Nintendo Switch Holiday Sales Will Continue To Go Up On Black Friday, Christmas
Nintendo Switch holiday sales are apparently only going to keep going up when events like Black Friday and Christmas roll around, according to GameStop. The console has apparently sold out multiple times, and the retailer’s good financial quarter is due to the continuing momentum of the console the entire year.
Ever since it released in March, the Nintendo Switch has been able to keep the ball rolling with a large number of excellently reviewed games, such as Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition, Fire Emblem Warriors, and a number of other smaller but no less popular games.
The Nintendo Switch holiday sales must seem like a big boon to Nintendo after having to endure years of diminishing returns for the Wii U, the much less popular version of the original Wii that didn’t sell nearly as well. However, even then a number of popular Nintendo games that were originally released on the Wii U have been ported onto the Switch, giving Nintendo even more sales.
While there’s been no indication of the Wii U Super Smash Bros game working in the same fashion, hopefully either it or a new Super Smash Bros game will be coming at some point soon.
All of this is working together to make Nintendo Switch holiday sales some of the biggest in the business as it becomes one of the most sought-after Christmas gifts. When it first released, the Switch was already having supply problems as it repeatedly sold out at every major retailer, and even online.
Either way, if you’re thinking of getting a Nintendo Switch for someone you love, you might want to hurry and either reserve a console or buy it now. With Nintendo Switch holiday sales being the way that they are, there’s no telling if you’ll get one or not.
