For those not familiar with Microsoft’s subscription services on the Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass monthly subscription feature that allows you to play more than 100 titles on your consoles without having to buy any of those games. Now Microsoft is announcing that there will be seven more games added to the Xbox Game Pass library and you can try the whole service for just $1 if you subscribe between November 17 – 27.
Microsoft Game Pass isn’t a service that should go unnoticed since it doesn’t allow you to play on old and outdated games but its library is full of triple-A games that were released in the last three years like Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Layers of Fear. Now, 7 more games will be included:
- Gears of War 4
- Darksiders: Warmastered Edition
- Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter
- This War of Mine: The Little Ones
- Casey Powell Lacrosse 16
- Mega Man 10
- Mass Effect
Seeing Gears of War 4 in such a subscription service so early after its release is an unexpected outcome and being able to play Darksiders again, after its long-awaited remaster, seems like a breath of fresh air. Even the arcade fans will stay satisfied with the addition to Mega Man, along with the already included Mega man Legacy Collection.
Also, Microsoft announced that Korea is now the 40th country to accept the Xbox Game Pass as a service, with a heartfelt message:
Starting December 1, we also say 안녕하세요 (Hello!) to our fans in Korea, as Korea becomes Xbox Game Pass’ 40th market, and underscores our ongoing commitment to give fans all over the world more options to diversify and expand their library of games.
The company seems to be trying its hardest to put Xbox Game Pass in the spotlight, with its marketing director recently referring to it as a game-changer for the industry.
As for the service itself, You can download and play any game you want or just download everything on offer if you have space for it. Once the monthly subscription expires you won’t be able to continue playing but, come on, $10 a month for more than 100 games is a pretty good deal, wouldn’t you say?
