AMD Ryzen 5 2500U Features AMD Vega 8 Graphics With Clocks Upto 1100 MHz

AMD Ryzen 5 2500U is a mobile chip that features AMD Vega 8 graphics. While little was known about the Mobile Vega graphics, here we have the specifications that you need to know. The AMD Vega 8 GPU on the AMD Ryzen 5 2500U features 8 CUs and can clock up to 1100 MHz. The chip has a TDP of 12-25W.

This is the same chip that powers the HP Envy X360 and we also saw AMD CEO picking up one of these laptops from Best Buy. As of right now, we have little information regarding how well these AMD Vega 8 graphics will perform but it will be interesting to see how well AMD Vega 8 will perform as compared to Intel integrated HD graphics.

AMD Vega was awful at launch and it did not meet expectations but we are seeing improvements as new titles are being released. The problem is that these graphics cards are not available in the market right now and even if you can get your hands on one of these GPUs then you will need to pay extra. Getting one at MSRP is close to impossible.
