PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) will be conducting its second round of testing for the much-awaited PC 1.0 update this week as well as the next.
As for what is new, players can expect several optimizations that the community has been requesting for a while. This includes character animations, water and other world effects, terrain loading times, memory usage, and the user interface.
The hit damage has been reduced for hands and feet, and increased for thighs and arms. The healing period for bandages has been cut in half, while maintaining the casting time. Players can now also parachute on certain areas that were previously not accessible.
In the weaponary department, two new weapons are being added to PUBG. The DP-28 will spawn in the world, while the AUG A3 must be obtained from care packages. Note that the Kar98k will no longer be included in care packages.
Furthermore, the firing rate of SKS and Mini-14 has been decreased. The M16A can no longer attach 8x and 15x scopes. Also, new 4x reticles have been introduced for 7.62mm, sniper, and SMG weapons.
