Sledgehammer Games has ironed out the online connectivity issues for Call of Duty: WW2 and now the developer has outlined its plans for some for the Call of Duty: WW2 events that will take place in the later this month and the next month.
According to Sledgehammer Games, one of the Call of Duty: WW2 events is the extended double XP weekend which starts today and will continue until November 27, 6 pm UK, 7 pm CET. Following the double XP event, Sledgehammer Games intends to start Winter Siege event on December 8.
The Winter Siege event will start at 10 am PT and will bring a new map “Winter Carentan”. Winter Carentan will be a snow-covered version of Carentan and will be available for all players for the duration of the event and will also be available in all game modes.
According to Sledgehammer Games, there is more to the Winter Siege event and the details will be revealed closer to launch. The event will continue until early January.
Furthermore, the Ranked play will start on December 1 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, however, there is no word of Ranked Play for PC. While PC might not get the ranked play but, the PC players will get an emblem editor on December 8 with PC specific features.
In related news, Activision is looking to bring the series to the silver screen with Call of Duty movies. However, Activision has assured that the movies will not be forced saying that if the script is not right, there won’t be a Call of Duty movie.
According to Activision, the franchise already has a mature rating and the movies will help the franchise to reach a broader audience but only if, the story is done right.
