Hideki Kamiya Would Love To Do A Devil May Cry And Bayonetta Crossover If Capcom Agreed
Hideki Kamiya is a name in the video game industry that could never go unnoticed. Involved with the development of Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and Okami, Kamiya has a huge reputation on his back and motivation to keep on directing many more titles.
What he’s also known for these days is creating rumors about sequels or remasters of the games he previously worked on. This time, he revealed that among others he would like to see a Dante (Devil May Cry) and Bayonetta crossover title.
In an interview with Dengeki PlayStation, Kamiya shared what he would love to work on and what his dreams are regarding his games that were already published:
“I want to work on a Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe remake, or a true sequel to Okami. A cooperation with Dante (from Devil May Cry)and Bayonetta might also be fun. Dear Capcom, if it’s okay with someone like me, I will help anytime. Best regards. Everyone, bow down your heads with me!”
Who wouldn’t want a Devil May Cry and Bayonetta crossover? Dante and Bayonetta are considered to be one and the same since the day Bayonetta “stepped her foot” into the industry, which is practically what happens with Lara Croft and Nathan Drake too.
Even if we don’t see Capcom agreeing to this crossover, Hideki Kamiya seems to be having some work of his own. Even though his latest project Scalebound was canceled, two of his major titles, Bayonetta and Okami have been reworked and even got their PC ports which open new ways for maybe Bayonetta 3 and Okami 2.
A couple months ago, Hideki Kamiya Tweeted on a response to a question asking “Is there an actual name for the world of chaos, like inferno and paradiso? Like gaia, or something like” Basically asking about the world in Bayonetta 2. To which Hideki Kamiya briefly and wisely replied to as “Wait till Bayo3″.
