Epic, Legendary, and Weapon Supply Drops Inbound for Call of Duty WWII

Sledgehammer Games released two updates in the last week for Call of Duty WWII. The first was hefty with several improvements to the multiplayer component, while the second one was a minor hot-fix that addressed a couple of gameplay-related issues. One of them introduced new features to the game that are currently lying dormant in the client.

Posting on Reddit earlier today, a data-miner shared that the developer is getting ready to add three new types of Supply Drops to the game. In addition to the current Regular and Rare, players will soon be able to call Epic, Legendary, and Weapon Supply Drops on the battlefield.

As the names suggest, the Epic and Legendary Supply Drops will feature items of improved rarity. The Weapons Supply Drop, on the other hand, will contain new weapons for players to wreak havoc with in the multiplayer. The following is a list of those very weapons:

  • Arisaka (Rifle)
  • Gewehr 43 (Rifle)
  • Type 5 (Rifle)
  • Volkstrumgewehr (Rifle)
  • Winchester 94 Lever Action (Rifle)
  • Breda 30 (LMG)
  • MG81 (LMG)
  • Beretta 38 (SMG)
  • M1919 (SMG)
  • Sten (SMG)
  • Enfield No. 2 (Pistol)
  • Reichsrevolver (Pistol)
  • Walther P38 (Pistol)
  • Combat Knife (Melee)
  • Icepick (Melee)
  • Trench Knife (Melee)

There is no official word on when these new Supply Drops will make it into the game. Call of Duty WWII is expected to receive an update later this week to enable Call of Duty Points. The developer might bundle the new Supply Drops with that.

Call of Duty WWII is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It earned an astonishing $500 million on its opening weekend.
