There are still more accolades, achievements, and milestones for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) to amass before the end of the year.

The nominees for The Game Awards 2017 were revealed earlier today, and the popular online battle royale game is featured in at least three major categories. PUBG not only has the opportunity to be honored for “Best Multiplayer” and “Best Ongoing Game” this year but also for the prestigious “Game of the Year” award.

Below are the other nominees that the game is going up against. It will undoubtedly be a difficult run because of some very strong mentions in the categories. You can help by placing your vote by heading to the official website.

The community would be thrilled to know that Guy “Dr. Disrepect” Beahm has been nominated in the “Trending Gamer” category. The “two-time consecutive blockbuster video game champion” stole the show at the Esports Industry Awards 2017 earlier this week by winning the “Streamer of the Year” award. He is now up against the likes of Mike “Shroud” Grzesiek and Andrea “What’s Good Games” Rene for another title.

This is the first time that the annual event has decided to include early access games in its categories. They were previously isolated for being unfinished but will be judged this year on their own merits. In that light, PUBG could very well snatch the ultimate award title before leaving early access on Steam next month.

The Game Awards 2017 will take place on December 7 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Those unable to attend in person will be able to watch the livestream from the comfort of their homes.
