Star Wars Battlefront 2 crate system is one of the sore points of the game. For many, it ruins the experience on offer and makes it really hard to progress through the game. However, according to DICE, the system will change in the future through various adjustments.
According to DICE Executive Producer, John Wasilczyk, they are looking to put more control into the player’s hands. They are planning to introduce more ways to progress in Battlefront 2. However, they are unable to offer a time or date for when these changes will be made. However, game will be different from what we saw in early access.
I think this concern has come through loud and clear. We’re going to continue adjusting the crate systems, content, and progression mechanics to hit a point that gives players a great, balanced experience at all skill levels. We’re working on expanding the number of ways that players can progress, putting more control in their hands and providing more options and choice in the way people play. There’s not much in the game that we wouldn’t revisit to improve the game for as many players as possible.
The Reddit AMA so far hasn’t managed to control the damage done to Battlefront 2. Empty promises and PR talk is at the helm of all things over at Reddit for the time being. Fans are asking for action, not works, from EA DICE. It is pretty clear that EA threw the three developers under the bus on Reddit in order to do some form of damage control.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is releasing on November 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
