Destiny 2 faced hard crashes on Nvidia as well as AMD hardware that was combined with Intel. Since release, the problem affected thousands but Bungie ignored the problem, refusing to even acknowledge it. Thankfully, the issue was finally discussed at TWAB so we should expect a fix soon.
However, the problem doesn’t seem to be a priority for the development team and focus is currently on adding new content as well as immediately fixing any issue with Silver currency/ microtransactions. An issue with Silver/microtransactions was fixed within hours on Xbox One but on PC hard crashes have been an issue for weeks.
Destiny 2 PC is developed by a different studio so it is unclear if they are supporting the project post-release or has Bungie taken over? The good news is that Bungie has at least acknowledged the problem weeks after the game’s release.
With the release of Curse of Osiris DLC around the corner, players are hoping for a fix soon so they can access the new content without any issues. Bungie announced the new DLC at Paris Games Week. We’ll be going back into the City’s past to one of its exiled Guardians, a Warlock named Osiris.
According to Ikora Rey in the trailer, Osiris was banished from the Last City after his “dangerous” ideas nearly destroyed it. However, now a rising threat from the Vex is forcing the Guardians to find Osiris and convince him to come back.
The Curse of Osiris is going to feature VEX themed loot. The content is releasing on December 5 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
