Call of Duty: WW2 Microtransactions Delayed In Favor Of Fixing Online Issues
Originally Activision planned to include microtransactions to Call of Duty: WW2 today, however, in light of recent online issues Call of Duty: WW2 microtransactions have been delayed so that SLedgehammer Games can focus on fixing the online connectivity.
Sledgehammer Games has announced that Call of Duty: WW2 microtransactions will now go live on November 21 “so the team can focus on our top priority items”. With microtransactions, players will be able to buy COD Points which are required to purchase the supply drops on Call of Duty: WW2.
In related news, Activision is also working on Call of Duty movies and has assured that the movies will not be forced saying that if the script is not right, there won’t be a Call of Duty movie.
According to Activision, the franchise already has a mature rating and the movies will help the franchise to reach a broader audience but only if, the story is done right. “As an M-rated game, it’s a core audience and we do think there’s an opportunity to reach a little more broadly than that; if the storytelling is done well, that’s the key”.
Activision is also looking for possibilities for an Overwatch movie and Kilpin would like it to be an animated one.
Furthermore, Activision has revealed the Sledgehammer Games originally planned to develop a sequel to Advanced Warfare but the company convinced them to go for Call of Duty: WW2.
According to Activision, at that point fans were already calling for the franchise to return to its roots and convinced Sledgehammer to develop Call of Duty: WW2.

Call of Duty: WW2 is a first-person action shooter developed by Sledgehammer Games for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
