New Tekken 7 DLC Will Bring Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis as a Playable Character Next Year
Bandai Namco has been supporting Tekken 7 with new characters and stages and now the developer has announced Final Fantasy XV’s protagonist Noctis Lucis Caelum as a playable DLC character. This Tekken 7 DLC will be available in Spring 2018.
Not only this Tekken 7 DLC will bring Noctis as a playable character but, Noctis will be added wielding his signature Engine Blade while facing Jin, and the rest of the Tekken 7 roster. Bandai Namco has also rolled out a trailer which you can see above.
Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV enters the Tekken 7 ring! Wielding his signature Engine Blade, Noctis is ready to deal heavy hard-hitting blows as he takes on the likes of Yoshimitsu, Devil Jin, Jack 7, and the rest of the Tekken 7 fighters when he enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament in spring 2018!
However, this is not the first character Bandai Namco will be introducing to Tekken 7 from another game franchise as the game already features Akuma from Street Fighter franchise, who is also part of the game’s narrative.
While the devs are introducing new characters to Tekken 7 but, the developer has noted that adding new characters to the roster is not that easy since they have to consider the roster balance which might prevent new characters being added to the roster.
According to game director Katsuhiro Harada, the development team still wants to add new content to Tekken 7 and adding new characters and meddling with the roster balance can potentially work against their goal.
He added that paid Tekken 7 DLC will not be used to add new characters but, will add more special content to the game.
Tekken 7 is a fighting video game developed by Bandai Namco for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
