New Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Reveal Shows Mimikyu’s Z-Move

By   /   Nov 11, 2017

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are just a week away from release but the reveals never stop. This time we got a glimpse of Mimikyu’s Z-Move in a new trailer on Pokemon Official Youtube channel. This move called Let’s Snuggle Forever is probably the weirdest one we’ve seen so far.

In the video, Mimikyu seems to be stalking and sprinting around a Tyranitar, moments before devouring it all with its lower body and punch-kick sounds start to sound from inside Mimikyu’s Pikachu themed rag. Totally weird right? One could probably say that Mimikyu is “cosplaying” an overly attached girlfriend.

Mimikyu is a Ghost/Fairy type monster which takes the form of another Pokemon by dressing itself with a painted rag of the chosen target, which as we’ve seen is Pikachu. Since this Pokémon is weakened by sunlight, it is rumored that the veil is used for protection. It is believed that seeing its true form will cause a mysterious illness. This lonely Pokémon thought that this disguise would allow it to make friends with people which totally justifies the name of its Z-move.

Z-Moves, for those not familiar with the term, are those over-powered abilities added to the original Pokémon Sun and Moon, limited to a select group of the more popular Pokémon wich can basically one-shot the opponent Pokemon with a unique and flashy cutscene.

This wasn’t the only reveal that we had recently as we found out that Team Rocket is possibly returning to the franchise but probably with a different name. Also, after data miners got their hands on Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, we learned the names of 3 new Ultra Beasts as well as new information about the famous Necrozma and a mythical new Pokemon named Zeraora.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will be the last Pokemon core title for Nintendo 2DS/3DS since developer Game Freak has revealed that the game has pushed the handheld to its limits. We expect to see the next addition to the franchise coming next year on Nintendo Switch for more couch gaming with our favorite Pokemon.

Pokemon Ultra Sun And Ultra Moon will launch on November 17, 2017, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.
