AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X Wins CES 2018 Best Innovation Award!

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X has been out for a while now and the CPU is known for offering 16 cores 32 threads. AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X has now won the Best Innovation Award at CES 2018 in the PC hardware category which is great news. AMD is getting the recognition that it deserves.

AMD has changed the game by offering more cores and threads in both the enthusiast series as well as the mainstream series and has pulled the carpet from underneath Intel which later introduced Intel Coffee Lake series with up to 6 cores and 12 threads instead of 4 cores and 8 threads. This CPU is great for content creators and people that need all that additional processing power.

You can click here to buy the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X for $879 instead of the original $999. You can also check out the benchmarks of the CPU here. According to AMD Chief Marketing Officer John Taylor:

“The overwhelmingly positive response from enthusiasts and expert reviewers that greeted the release of AMD Ryzen Threadripper already served as a huge reward for the AMD whole engineering team who built this ground-breaking product,”

There is no denying that AMD has disrupted the CPU market but the company has fallen short when it comes to the Vega series of graphics cards. While the initial batch sold out we have yet to get another shipment of graphics cards. The wait has been so long that Nvidia has introduced the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti as well as the Titan Xp Collectors Edition in the meantime.

John Taylor further went on to say that:

“Now, with its selection as a CES 2018 Best of Innovation Award winner, Ryzen Threadripper achieves a special standing and place of leadership in the incredible history of processor innovation.”
