With the launch of Xbox One X many titles have received their enhancement patches, however, those who are waiting for Forza Horizon 3 Xbox One X patch will be a little disappointed as it will take some time for developer Playground Games to roll it out.
Forza Horizon 3 Xbox One X patch will drop on January 15, 2018, over two months away from now. However, we still don’t know what improvements the game will be getting on Xbox One X but given that Forza Motorsport 7 runs at 4K/60 FPS, we are positive that Forza Horizon 3 will also be able to run at 4K/60 FPS.
Speaking of Forza Motorsport 7 running at 4K/60 FPS on Xbox One X, Microsoft has revealed that even though Xbox One X runs Forza Motorsport 7 at 4K/60 FPS it will still have 30% of GPU power to spare.
If what Microsoft claims is true then we will be seeing more first-party title in the future looking even better than Forza 7.
Also, Forza Horizon 3 developer Playground Games is also working on a new non-racing title. The studio is working on a game codenamed “Project 2”. According to founder and creative director, Ralph Fulton, the team has become quite good at developing racing games but they want to prove themselves in a different genre.
We feel like we’ve become pretty good at racing games over the years. We can always strive to get better but we’d love to prove ourselves in a different genre. That’s another goal of Project 2, to allow us to do that. We’re going to need to hire some very talented people with experience that we don’t have.
It is still unknown that whether or not Project 2 will be an Xbox exclusive or a multiplatform title. Given that the studio is independent, the game could be a multiplatform title.
Fora Horizon 3 is an open-world racing title developed by Playground Games exclusively for PC and Xbox One.
