It was back in May when Riot Games announced an entire list of features and improvements inbound for League of Legends. One of them was the ability for players to showcase all skins that they currently own. The request, which dates back a number of years, is finally being fulfilled by the developer.
A new update to the Public Beta Environment (PBE) has introduced a skins tab to the profile page. It not only displays all the skins that the player owns, but also breaks down the collection in various ways. This includes sorting the list by rarity, date of purchase, and the most recently ones acquired.
Posting on Reddit, the developer confirmed that the skins tab will be improved in the future to display more information regarding lore and more.
“What you’re seeing on PBE is a bit buggy and there’s a few mis-categorized things, skins missing, etc,” skins producer “Stellari” wrote. “In the future, we’ll also be able to use this feature to share some of the back stories of the skins, or glimpses of the lore in the in-skin universe.”
While there is no confirmation but the new skins tab should be released on the live servers during the pre-season period. This may happen as soon as with the next patch later this month.
Riot Games has already confirmed that the highly anticipated pre-season update is scheduled to go live for League of Legends on November 8. This follows the conclusion of the League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2017) over the weekend.
