Ubisoft: Far Cry 5 Fishing Mini-Game Has Already Become A “Fan-Favorite”
Like Assassin’s Creed franchise, Ubisoft is also looking to reinvent the Far Cry series with the upcoming Far Cry 5 that will not include any meaningless quest or activity, however, the game will include side activities and according to the devs, fishing in Far Cry 5 has already become a fan-favorite activity.
Speaking with Gamereactor, narrative director Jean-Sebastien Decant talked about the game and the activities it will feature. He revealed that fishing side-activity in Far Cry 5 has already become a “fan-favorite” as gamers have liked it very much when it was showcased during various events.
Because we discovered it when we went there, we put a lot of love on the fishing. For instance, there is a fly fishing minigame that can be played. This is already a fan-favourite when we presented the game in different places, people started to make a contest out of who would get the biggest fish.
Furthermore, Ubisoft has expressed that the studio wants the game to feel like “Training Day” and the game’s protagonist will not be an average Joe but will be a junior deputy who will be going in as support a warrant against the Father.
Furthermore, the game will not feature local co-op and players will only be able to play online co-op. However, no reason behind this decision was revealed hopefully Ubisoft might include local co-op in future.
Also, the game will feature full character customization in which the players can create their character the way they like. Players will be able to choose gender and adjust the appearance before starting the game.
Far Cry 5 is an open-world action adventure game in development at Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on February 27, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
