Call of Duty: WW2 comes out tomorrow on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC, and the Call of Duty WW2 campaign length has been revealed. Much like other first-person shooters, the game is fairly short, apparently taking around six and a half hours to complete if you play on Normal.
However, considering the various achievements that players can get for playing the game on harder and harder difficulties, that length can go up depending on which setting you play it on. Either way, hopefully Sledgehammer has allowed the writing on their campaigns to be just as good as Advanced Warfare’s, which got critical praise for its own campaign story.
While many players specifically buy Call of Duty games just for the multiplayer to see what crazy new weapons and items they can use, some people also go for the campaign. With the Call of Duty WW2 campaign length being what it is, it’s around the same length as an average Call of Duty game.
Then again, the multiplayer isn’t anything to sneeze at either, possessing a wide variety of different modes including the new War mode for multiplayer objective games.
While there’s no guarantee that it’ll be as deep or full of twists as other more recent Call of Duty games (as the campaign mainly focuses around the Allies fighting to break out of the Normandy beachhead), with all of the hype that Call of Duty: WW2 has gotten it’d be a shame if its campaign didn’t live up to expectations from Sledgehammer.
If you want to see if the information about the Call of Duty WW2 campaign length holds up (for instance if you want to speedrun the game), you can check the game out for yourself when it releases tomorrow, November 3, for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
