Call of Duty WW2 Will Start Its First Ranked Season in December

The competitive community is already twitching to know when they can start hitting the ranked queues of Call of Duty WW2.

There are still a couple of days remaining before Call of Duty WW2 officially launches worldwide but the competitive community is already twitching to know when they can start hitting the ranked queues.

Those who managed to attain early copies of the game have confirmed that the first ranked season will start next month. There will be no pre-season, at least not for this year, and all the ranked modes will only become available when the first season begins.

“Season 1 Kicks off on December 1, 2017,” the in-game notification reads. “Battle in competitive rule set and move through the ranks to earn exclusive Ranked Play seasonal rewards. Become one of the Top 100 players at the end of a season to earn your Pro status!”

Earlier this week, Sony announced the first map pack for Call of Duty WW2. It is called “The Resistance” and will be available first on PlayStation 4 in January. The other two platforms must wait for the exclusivity period, which should be around thirty days, to end before gaining access.

The pack will feature three multiplayer maps from three different locations (Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia) as well as two additional multiplayer maps split between the narrative driven War mode and the survival-centered Zombies mode.

Call of Duty WW2 is scheduled to officially release on November 3 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The option to pre-order and pre-load is still on the table, allowing you to jump into the historical setting as soon as the servers go online.
