If you are still keeping track of L.A Noire then you probably already know that a re-release of the title is coming next month for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. While everyone is waiting to play as detective Cole Phelps once more, this time in High Definition, Rockstar has revealed an L.A Noire 4K trailer which makes it look like a recently developed 2017 title.
L.A Noire may not have been the most visually polished video game but it features the best facial animations we’ve seen up from a title of its age, with that feature being a complete mechanic helping you investigate certain cases. Seeing L.A Noire 4K trailer is like looking at a completely new game so it won’t be a lie to say that when it releases again for consoles it will be a must-play.
The modern versions of LA Noire for PS4, Xbox One will include the original game and all the released DLC, along with new improvements such as Enhanced lights and clouds, cinematic camera angles and HD textures. The game will also support 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, so there’s no need to worry about the 6-year-old game will look.
L.A Noire will run at 1080p while docked and 720p in handheld mode on Nintendo Switch. The game running at 1080p on Switch is quite impressive, however, the frame rate for both Switch modes are yet to be revealed.
Rockstar will also release its first virtual reality title based on the game, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, for HTC Vive. The VR title will include seven self-contained cases from the original L.A. Noire “rebuilt specifically for virtual reality.” added Rockstar.
LA Noire was originally released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. Now it;s coming back as an HD remaster for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
