Custom Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti

The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti has just been announced and here we are going to talk about the best custom Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti that you can buy. But first, let’s look at the confirmed specifications of the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti. The graphics card is supposed to compete with the AMD Vega 56 that performs better than the Nvidia GTX 1070.

The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti is basically a GTX 1080 with slower GDDR5 memory instead of GDDR5X. The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti has the same TDP 180W the base clock is the same as the GTX 1080, 1607 MHz and the boost clock is the same as the GTX 1070, 1683 MHz.

According to the official specifications, the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti has 2432 CUDA cores and the Reference design version of the graphics card will cost you $449.99 which is great considering that you are getting GTX 1080 level performance.

There are a couple of custom Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti models that you can choose from that will provide you with custom coolers which means lower temps and better performance. We are still waiting on confirmation regarding the locked frequencies issue and if the aftermarket cards are unlocked then you can overclock your GPU in order to get even more performance.

Best Custom Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti That You Can Buy Right

In my opinion, the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Ti MINI is one of the best GPUs that you can buy right now. The card is the smallest GTX 1070 Ti model on the market right now and it can fit into 99% of all cases. This makes it a great GPU for small form factor PCs and you are not losing any performance as compared to the reference design GPU.

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Ti MINI comes with a metal backplate and features all the bells and whistles that you expect from a high-end Nvidia GPU including, Metal Backplate, VR Ready, Simultaneous Multi-Projection, NVIDIA Ansel, NVIDIA G-Sync, NVIDIA GameStream, Vulkan API and a single color LED. One thing that this GPU lacks is RGB.

For the cost of RGB, you are not giving up much considering the small form factor, the performance and the fact that you can pre-order one for the same price as the reference design version. You can check out what the graphics card looks like below:

The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti is aimed at the high-end market and the graphics card is both 4K and VR Ready. Having that said I am sure that you are interested in checking out the performance of the graphics card. While there are no third party numbers out at the moment, you can check out the official benchmarks from Nvidia below:

As you can see from the numbers, the 1070 Ti performs almost double as compared to the previous generation GTX 970 and this is using DX12. We know that Nvidia graphics cards often do not perform well in DX12 and you can expect to see even better performance in DX11 mode.

The new GTX 1070 Ti also performs better than the GTX 1070 and while this might not be a huge upgrade for people that already own a GTX 1070, this is a great option if you are using an older graphics card or are using the GTX 1060 or the 1050 Ti.
