Halo: The Master Chief Collection is being enhanced for the upcoming Xbox One X, however, it seems that the collection might also come to PC if the rumor is to be believed. PC fans have been asking for Halo: The Master Chief Collection since the debut of Halo 5: Forge for PC.
The clue that suggests the collection might be coming to PC comes from the Xbox One S bundles Microsoft announced recently which also included a bundle for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. On the promotional poster for the bundle is was stated that the collection is also coming to Windows 10.
However, community manager was quick clarify that it was a mistake the Halo: MCC is not coming to PC and Microsoft has also updated the product page. Also, another thing that would suggest that the collection will not be coming to PC it’s the same promotional image which also states that the collection is exclusive to Xbox One.
With the collection coming to Xbox One X, 343 Industries has noted that matchmaking issues that players encountered on Xbox One when Halo: MCC launched will be fixed along with other bugs. The studio added that the bug fixes for the collection will be tested out with the help of the community and the first wave of testing will start in Spring 2018.
Halo franchise is among the most popular exclusive franchises for Xbox but, according to FPS control designer at Bungie, Jaime Griesemer, Microsoft hated the name Halo for its mega FPS franchise. He added that Microsoft had so many reasons to change the name of Halo franchise and months went on for deciding the name for the game.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a collection of Halo titles which includes all the Halo games till Halo 4 and is exclusive to Xbox One.
